Under the full moon’s gentle light,
Dol Purnima dances bright,
A festival of swing and sway,
In honor of Radha and Krishna’s play.
In the Braj region’s vibrant hue,
And Rajasthan’s desert view,
Gujarat, Bengal, and Odisha’s grace,
Assam’s melodies fill the space.
Krishna and Radha, divine pair,
In colors rich, beyond compare,
Adorned with love, in vibrant array,
They bless devotees on this day.
Swinging palanquins adorned with care,
Through streets and fields, they gracefully fare,
With music, conch shells, shouts of joy,
As hearts uplift in divine employ.
In Assam’s Barpeta, songs resound,
Echoing Madhavdev’s verses profound,
Sankardev’s spirit, Bordowa’s call,
Celebrating Doul, uniting all.
In South India, kirtans soar,
Annamacharya’s hymns adore,
Tyagaraja’s melodies embrace,
The spirit of Dolotsavam’s grace.
Spraying colors, dancing feet,
In festival delight, hearts meet,
With greetings shared and delicacies sweet,
Dol Purnima’s love complete.
Holi’s kin, in spring’s embrace,
A celebration of divine grace,
Dol Jatra, Doul Utsav’s call,
In love’s dance, we stand tall.

Celebrating the Love of Radha and Krishna on Radhashtami
Audio File Please Visit & Subscribe my Youtube Channel : Keleedas Kobita
In Barsana, where the lotus blooms with grace,
On Radhashtami, we celebrate her face,
Goddess Radha, in Krishna’s loving embrace,
A divine love story, we all embrace.
Eighth day of Bhadrapada, in the lunar sky,
Bright and waxing, as the days pass by,
Radhashtami shines, our spirits fly,
In Braj region’s beauty, oh so high.
Fifteen days after Janmashtami’s delight,
Radha’s birth, in the soft moonlight,
In Vaishnavism, she’s a radiant light,
Krishna’s beloved, their love so bright.
Unconditional love, devotion untamed,
Radha’s essence, in hearts inflamed,
Cultural faith, in her name, proclaimed,
In social life’s tapestry, forever framed.
Temples of tradition, in reverence sway,
Radha Vallabh, Gaudiya, in grand display,
Nimbarka, Pushti, in their own way,
Haridasi Sampradaya, joyous array.
Nine days of festivity, in Vrindavan’s embrace,
Radha and Krishna, in divine grace,
Food and clothes, in this sacred space,
Music and dance, hearts interlace.
Idols dressed in flowers, a fragrant bloom,
Radhashtami’s radiance, chases away gloom,
Darshan of her feet, in a sacred room,
A cherished moment, in devotion’s womb.
Ritual bath, a pure and cleansing start,
Panchamitra’s touch, to warm the heart,
New attire for Radha, a work of art,
Bhog offered with love, a sacred part.
Devotional songs, in praise they sing,
Radha and Krishna, love’s eternal spring,
Their pastimes, like a joyful wing,
In hearts, their divine melodies cling.
Feast as prasada, a gift from above,
Nourishing our souls with purest love,
Radhashtami, a blessing from the dove,
Guiding our spirits to realms above.
Mantras echo, in the sacred space,
Vrashbahnujaye, with divine grace,
Krishnapriyaye, in devotion’s embrace,
Radhe Radhe, our hearts’ special place.
On Radhashtami, our spirits soar,
In devotion’s river, we deeply explore,
Goddess Radha, whom we adore,
Her love, a treasure forevermore.

Janmashtami’s Sweet Delight

In the land of Vrindavan, a legend was born,
On Janmashtami morning, a new day was dawned,
Baby Krishna, with mischief in His eyes,
A divine child, a sweet surprise.
Yashoda’s darling, the butter thief’s delight,
He brought joy and laughter, day and night,
With a peacock feather adorning His hair,
Krishna danced with gopis, a love affair.
Flute in hand, He played a melodious tune,
Under the moon’s glow, ‘neath the silver monsoon,
His enchanting music, like a soothing balm,
Calmed every heart, like a tranquil palm.
The divine Leela, His playful escapade,
In the lap of nature, where Krishna laid,
Stealing butter, a mischievous spree,
Yet in His eyes, pure love, for all to see.
Janmashtami’s sweet delight, a festival of cheer,
Devotees sing and dance, drawing Krishna near,
With devotion and love, they celebrate this day,
In His divine presence, they find their way.
So, let us rejoice, on this sacred occasion,
In Krishna’s name, with hearts full of elation,
Janmashtami’s sweet delight, a divine feast,
In the Lord’s grace, our souls find peace.
With friends, He played in the Yamuna’s embrace,
Splashing water, a joyful water race,
Little Krishna’s laughter, like music in the air,
Innocent moments, beyond compare.
Flute in hand, He played a melodious tune,
Under the moon’s glow, ‘neath the silver monsoon,
His enchanting music, like a soothing balm,
Calmed every heart, like a tranquil palm.
The divine Leela, His playful escapade,
In the lap of nature, where Krishna laid,
Stealing butter, a mischievous spree,
Yet in His eyes, pure love, for all to see.
This is a festival of cheer,
Devotees sing and dance, drawing Krishna near,
With devotion and love, they celebrate this day,
In His divine presence, they find their way.
So, let us rejoice, on this sacred occasion,
In Krishna’s name, with hearts full of elation,
Janmashtami’s sweet delight, a divine feast,
In the Lord’s grace, our souls find peace.

Gopaldadar Katha Bola
